We supported the Spring Sprint again this year

Supporting sport and culture matters to us, so we once again supported the Spring Sprint cycling race, now in its 13th edition. The ATTACK cycling team was there too, with six riders.

Where does the race take place?

The Spring Sprint starts in the village of Bystrička, near Martin, and finishes at Zakľúče in the Malá Fatra mountains. It regularly attracts large numbers of amateur and professional cyclists from Slovakia and abroad. As its name suggests, it is one of the first amateur cycling races of the season.

The beauty of the Turiec Basin

Competitors can enjoy views across the Turiec Basin and gain a few seconds on this section of the course. It is mostly flat, with some downhill stretches suited to higher speeds. The route then turns above the village of Trebostovo onto a forest road that climbs steadily along winding bends beneath the trees to the finish.

The Spring Sprint is a great start to the year

At the finish, competitors can enjoy light refreshments in the beautiful natural surroundings of Malá Fatra, at an altitude of 697 metres above sea level. The course is 9.3 km long, mostly uphill over mixed terrain. Children can manage the route too, making it ideal for this kind of event. We thank the organisers for a perfectly run race, which we have now taken part in for the second time. Pavol Kubík recorded the fastest time for ATTACK: 0:30:19.
